Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

i,000 RENAULT cv parts have been reduced in price by an average )f eight per cent. Up to 40 per cent has been taken off service items luch as filters, gaskets, brake linings and light lenses, says the :ompany.

Karrier Motors claims the retuctions make Renault original )quipment replacements very ;ompetitive with those from 3ritish and continental manufac turers, and also compare favourably with fast-moving lines sold through parts factors.

Some examples of typical retail prices for a Renault JK75 non-hgv 7.38-tonner are: oil filter element £3.40, clutch plate and disc £73.52, wiper arm and blade £10.36.

For the GF151, a cylinder head gasket is now listed at £15.46 with an oil filter element at £3.70. A complete engine overhaul gasket set for a TR305 premium tractice unit is now available at £65.86.

Mechanical components have also been brought down in price; as an example, a lift pump for a Renault TF231 lightweight 3 2-tonner in now £3 7.8 4 (previously £43.90).

Karrier says it expects the new revised prices to help the growth in vehicle sales which should fol*low the integration of the Dodge and Renault dealer networks.

The reductions also apply to parts for vehicles out of production such as the Saviem SM tractive unit. Prices of major components available through the service exchange scheme are unaffected.
