CONSIDERABLE savings al claimed for the time taken 1 prepare casings for the KentrE and Kenprest processes by R. Tyre and Rubber Co Ltd of Alto Hants with its new Mark 9 By fer/Peeler.
The main feature of th machine is the introduction of peeler head which is located c spigots and positioned in froi of twin buffing plates.
The peeler knife is controlle by a template to ensure the a curacy of the rubber remov from the casing circumference.
After the peeling unit has bee removed, the surface which w receive the new rubber is "text' rised" by twin pinned buffin plates.
This process takes only th minutes to provide the best su face for the bonding of the trea rubber.
The company says that bi cause much of the work hi been done by the peeler, the Iii of the pins is increased by ova five times as compared with th previous model, where all th tread rubber was removed b twin buffing heads only.
