Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

I T seems likely that the new Air Licensing Court will develop along the familiar lines of " Goods " and " Passenger " inquiries in the road Traffic Courts.

Under Section 10 (3) (D) of the Civil Aviation Licensing Regulations, 1960, which came into force in December, operators of transport otherwise banned by air in the United Kingdom, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man from carrying passengers, mails or other cargo for hire or reward, may object to applications for air licences, The early sessions of the new court, which have now been postponed until March, should prove of considerable interest and it would be no surprise if the British Transport Commission were the first surface transport objectors.

Express passenger operators may find a good cause for objection, and with the growing demand for goods transport by air, many hauliers may decide to keep an eye on air applications.

Civil air licensing will have its own publication similar to those of the road transport Licensing Authorities in which applications and decisions will be published.

NOT ALL CLEAR THE proposal to designate as a "Clear' way" the Brompton Road, Cromwell Road and the Chiswick Flyover is viewed with the "greatest alarm" by the Traders' Road Transport Association. Mr. R. E. G. Brown, the T.R.T.A.'s London secretary, says: "One is left with the uncomfortable feeling that this concentration on moving commuter traffic into and out of central London pays insufficient regard to the importance of the work done by commercial vehicles.
