ALTHOUGH it was started in 1983 with one vehicle — a 1967 AEC Regent V — the South East Bus Collection and Preservation Society, of Upchurch, Kent, has already built up a stock of 10 passenger and goods vehicles. The most noteworthy is a 1936 Eastbourne Corporation AEC Regent 1.
A lack of undercover
accommodation is probably the greatest hindrance to more rapid expansion of the collection. Not discouraged, however, the society is to hold its first south-eastern bus rally at Chatham Historic Dockyard on June 16 and welcomes all come rS.
