HAULIERS' demands for ferry services between Southampton and Portsmouth and Le Havre are being met by Townsend Thoresen, despite the requisitioning of one of its ferries by the Royal Navy.
The Gaelic Ferry, which has capacity for 6 2 Ometres of freight, has been transferred from the Larne-Cairnryan crossing to Southampton, and will maintain the twice-daily freight service alongside the Free Enterprise V. The Europic Ferry has joined the Falklands Islands task force.
