ROGER WILLIAMS, a young man who certainly put on his metaphorical skates when he founded and developed the vehicle hire business of Willhire, has now gone literally into skating.
He is the inspiration of a new E700,000 roller skating centre at Bury St Edmunds. It measures 40 metres by 20 metres, is built to international standards and has a wide range of amenities. A resident disc jockey was, I suppose, inevitable, although perhaps his effusions are mercifully drowned by the roar of skates and the screams of the fallen.
