The centre section of the con. ventional axle beam is replacec by a bridge section with the axle stub carrying a flange support. ing a driven shaft through the rear of the hub.
A gearbox gives a four-to-one increase in rpm at the pump which provides hydraulic pressure for the motor which drives the compressor and refrigeration unit via a fan belt.
Once the trailer reaches its destination, a magnetic clutch disconnects the hydraulic drive and switches over to electric motor drive powered fr6m the mind.
