Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

WEST MIDLANDS County Council has produced a guide to coach terminals and parks in its area. Coach drivers' guide to terminals and parks gives details of coach parks and terminals in the county and includes information on facilities for use during major sports events. The guide is intended to help drivers not familiar with the area.

Highways committee chairman Len Clark, introducing the guide, called for increased financial involvement by industry in providing coach facilities. He said that long distance coach travellers should ideally be offered coach station facilities that were secure, protected and provided with usual amenities, and that coaches away from base needed somewhere safe to park when not In use.

Unless operators, authorities and others who would benefit can jointly commit themselves to funding facilities at major centres, progress would be slow, he said.
