Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

The EcoStralis drive-line is specifically ‘economy tuned’ for long-haul motorway work. Using data generated by ECAS and ABS, its Cursor 10 engine’s power and torque are automatically adjusted according to the truck’s laden weight – but without compromising performance. In ECO mode, driver intervention (i.e. manual changes) on the EuroTronic automatic transmission is also restricted – permitting one manual shift before it reverts to full auto control, thereby avoiding unnecessary (and fuel-wasting) changes.

EcoStralis also has a fuel-efficient 2.64:1 back axle, ensuring its engine is revving at a frugal 1,209rpm at 85km/h. Together these features provide a fuel saving of around 4%. However, a further 3.3% saving is possible because all EcoStralis tractors come with Michelin’s X Energy SaverGreen low-rolling resistance tyres as standard, and their speed limiter is set at 85km/h instead of 90km/h (CM runs all its top-weight artic tests at 85km/h on the motorway).
