Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

INCREASED wages have been secured 1 by the Transport and General Workers' Union for thousands of transport employees of C-licensees. Advances of 5s. a week from the dates given in parentheses, have been granted by the following: Coal distributive trade (August 22); Co-operative Wholesale Society; British Oxygen Co., Ltd. (August 15); and iron and steel scrap trade (August 18). The Union accepted the C.W.S. offer under protest.

Increases of 8s. a week have been granted by flour millers from June 30 and by aerated-water manufacturers. The millers have also increased the nightly subsistence rate from 10s. 6d. to 12s. 6d.

Retail Co-operative Services have granted an additional increase of Is. 6d. a week to transport employees including milk workers (provincial A and B), driving vehicles of 2-ton payload capacity and over.

NEW INSURANCE ORDER

A NEW Order concerning deposits Pk with the Accountant-General for purposes of third-party insurance has been made by the Minister of Transport. It is known as the Motor Vehicles (Third-Party Risks Deposits) Rules, 1952, and comes into operation on September 22_

The new rules supersede the provisions of Part III of the Motor Vehicles (Third Party Risks) Regulations, 1941. Copies can be obtained from the Stationery Office at 3d.

I.P.C. MEETING
