E1XPERIMENTAL recording of the I.L.Amovements of buses on °dials at headquarters will, within a few weeks, be commenced by London Transport. Vehicles will be equipped with a coil of wire mounted on the roof and through it will pass an alternating current.
As a bus travels beneath a wire suspended over the roadway at the recording point, the current in the coil on the vehicle will induce a current in the suspended wire, and the passage of the vehicle will be recorded on the appropriate dial at headquarters. Each service will use a different frequency.
The first experiment will be carried out on the No. 44 service from Victoria to King's Cross.
