• Kettering town council is to compile a dossier of complaints from residents about "totally inadequate local bus services" which is to be presented to the management of United Counties.
Residents are complaining about drastic cuts on many routes, buses running late and sometimes not at all, old and worn out vehicles operating in the town, inadequate numbers of buses running at peak demand times.
Speaking at a meeting of the Kettering council's public works committee this week Mr K. Gosland said: "We have talked far too long about these complaints and now is the time to get something done about them. It is the only possible way we can make them sit up and listen. We must add proof to pudding."
