Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE Simon Snorkel, the elevating plat form now used in many branches of Britisl local authority service, has been adoptec by the Stuttgart fire brigade. In this case thc largest size of hinged arm is employed giving a height of 26 metres, or a little over 85 ft., when fully extended. Since the platform and its cage can be steered within fractions of an inch, getting out of a window and into the cage in case of emergency is possible without undue difficulty. The cage will accommodate up to five people.

A special feature of the Stuttgart machine is that without having to lower the platform the rescued can be brought to the ground quickly and safely by a built-in cable arrangement. As on British designs, the crew on the platform are protected against excessive heat by the spraying of water round them during fire fighting or rescue work.
