A CHASSIS which is proving to be popular rm. with municipal bus operators is the Bristol RE rear-underfloor-engined singledecker. Since Bristol buses became available again on the open market at least six municipalities have now ordered this type, the latest two being Stalybridge and Accrington which have ordered six and three RESL chassis respectively. The chassis for the Stalybridge, Hyde, Mossley and Dunkinfield Board will be powered by Gardner 6HLX diesel engines, whilst those for Accrington Corporation will be powered by the Leyland 0.600 engine.
