THE following IRU meetings are scheduled to take place in the autumn:
September 13: Tilt Committee meeting — Turin.
September 20-22: Meeting of the Road Safety Commission and of the group entrusted with the study of the problems of the circulation of heavy goods vehicles in cities—Vienna.
September 29: Presidential Executive— Geneva.
September 30: Meeting of the Council Group with the economists—Geneva.
October 18-20: Autumn meetings of the Presidential Executive, Sections I, II and III, and Council of Direction—Salzburg.
TIR posts in Turkey
IN anticipation of full operation of the TIR system in Turkey within a very short time, the IRL/ has released the following details of Turkish Customs offices open to TIR traffic:— Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Samsun, Giirbulak, Kapikule, Pazarkule, Zonguldak, E171.1111111, Cilvegeizii, Yayladag, Edirne, Ipsala, Adana, Iskenderun, Mersin, Antalya, Trabzon, Izmit and Antalcya. Usual opening hours are from 9 a.m. to noon and from 1.30 p.m. to 5 pm.
