• Southern National bus company has launched a probe into an incident in which a driver dumped three 11-year-old children in a dark country lane several kilometres from their home. The children's parents say they asked to be let off but were told they were too late and were dropped on an unlit road with no pavement.
"This goes right against company policy, and what the driver did was well out of line," says Southern National, "but it would be wrong to judge the issue until we have investigated it internally."
