Foden boosts its US parent's progress

• It has been a record year in sales and production for Paccar, the parent company of Foden Trucks. End-of-year figures showed' that Paccar's nett income was more than doubled at $669 million (2382 million) on sales of $2.4 billion (21.37 billion). Truck orders remained high throughout the year, despite the October stock market crash.
A new production record was also set last year. The company produced more Class 8 trucks than ever before, even though two North American manufacturing plants were closed down in 1986. Foden Trucks also enjoyed a record year with sales up by 40%, thanks largely to the launch of its new 4000 Series.
El A new commercial vehicle leasing service is being offered by PacLease, an associate of Foden Trucks, which offers contracts on new Foden vehicles backed up by a maintenance network. PacLease also offers a range of financial services in connection with PACCAR Financial.
