• Mitsubishi Motors has added a diesel engine option to its short-wheel base 4x4 L200 pickup. The 2.5-litre 51kW (68hp), 146Nm (1081b ft) IDI diesel is the same as that fitted to Mitsubishi's long-wheelbase 4x2 pickup models, and its L300 panel vans.
A diesel-engined 4x4 pickup will cost 28,279 plus VAT, while the Diamond option pack, which includes power steering, heavy-duty suspension, and a limited slip differential costs an extra 2650 ex-VAT.
The latest dealer orders indicate that the diesel 4x4 pickup will probably account for over 75% of all Mitsubishi pickup sales this year.
