• Trailer manufacturer Crane Fruehauf is spending 2750,000 on a new computer-aided design (CAD) system at its headquarters in Dereham, Norfolk.
The McDonnell Douglas system features five-colour computer terminals with threedimensional capabilities. The company says that the new CAD will be the most powerful in the UK trailer industry.
Crane Fruehauf will use the computers to speed up its design process, improve drawing accuracy and speed up the process of altering designs to suit individual trailer customers.
