We commend it to all technicians concerned with the employment of this -type of bearing. Running to 48 pages, the booklet, entitled Lead Bronze Bearings," comprises 14 sections. These include a brief summary of the four chief lead
bronze bearing alloys, a review of the theory of bearings, a consideration of the properties of the type under investigation under running-in or emergency conditions, an examination of their anti-friction and load-carrying capacities, a study of the microscopic structure of copper-lead alloy and discourses on the technique of producing lead-bronze bearings, from the practical angle.
The booklet was first published by the Deutsches Kupfer-Institut, anct.in translating the text into English the original German has been followed., as closely as possible.
