Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Renault made some big changes to the Magnum's cab interior back in 2001 under the heading Multipass. The general idea was to utilise the living space in the cab through the use of swivelling passenger seat, fold-up table and various bunk configurations. Right-hand-drive versions, while getting the new fascia layout, didn't benefit from this innovation. Thankfully that error of judgement has now been corrected, indicating a commitment by "the group" to this model range and giving UK drivers a much improved living area.

As mentioned, our first impressions of life behind the wheel of the new Magnum were extremely positive and those impressions didn't diminish with time in the saddle. The truck feels altogether tighter than its predecessor, cab sway is reduced, the nod under braking has been virtually eliminated and the ride has been firmed up enough to give the driver feedback without making it hard.

We've always liked the hard-working nature of the 12-litre engine. It's happy lugging at full engine load and purrs along at motorway cruising speed. Couple it to the Optidnver II transmission and driving is simplicity itself. Mind you, the manual installation remains a bit notchy and we wish Renault would adopt a single-H pattern gearshift as others have done.
