THE. DEPARTMENT of Transport is offering a limited number of permits to hauliers not currently holding allocations for France.

Hauliers, who must have a standard operator's licence for national and international operations, should write to I. Bolton, International Road Freight Office (IRFO), Westgate House, Westgate Road, Newcastle upon Tyne, by November 29. A photocopy of the operator's licence should be enclosed with the letter. Applications will be considered on a "first come first served" basis.
