DON-BUR has produced a lightweight version of its Slide-A-Side side access body which has an alloy section superstructure reducing bodyweight by 10 per cent.

All MK2 Slide-A-Side curtainsider bodies now have aluminium cant rails and side raves as well as revised. side curtain locking mechanisms and curtain rollers. The new cant rail is fitted with a full depth PVC sealing strip to improve weather sealing at the top of the body. The latest side rave has a one-piece design which replaces the old four-piece alloy/steel fabrication.

The basic Slide-A-Side curtain design is retained by Don Bur. G. R. WARDLE ,ind Sou of Haltwhiscle, Northumberland, has taken delivery of one of the last Volvo eightwheelers to be built at Irvine.

The Volvo Trucks (GB) assembly plant switched to FL7 production a month ago.

The newest F7 in the Wardle fleet which, apart from one Scania, is all-Volvo, has been specified with Tadchurch rubber suspension on the rear bogie.

Six of the Wardle F7 8 x 4s have the Volvo T-Ride, twospring rear bogie, and one has the Volvo L-Ride bogie.
