TO STRENGTHEN its after-sales support structure following the introduction of the new FL truck ranges, Volvo Trucks (Great Britain) has appointed a new service operations manager and a general manager of parts.
The new service manager is Brian Smith, who has been with Volvo since 1974. He joined the company from Leyland as a bus designer. For the past five years he has been product manager.
Stephen Johnson has been appointed general manager of parts division. Before transferring to Volvo he was marketing director of GKN Autoparts Distribution.
