CHANGES within the next five years in export and import procedures are to be covered in five seminars by the Freight Transport Association and the Simplifications of Trade Procedures Board (Sitpro).
The changes are being introduced in an attempt to simplify procedures and to take account of new technology. For example, they include an alternative to the ATA carnet for some exhibition goods and samples, and the introduction of the EEC Single Administrative Document, which will replace existing import, export and transit forms at the beginning of 1988.
The seminars will be held at Gatwick, Luton, Manchester, Coventry and Stirling between May 2 to June 13 this year.
The fee is £75 plus vat per delegate, and it is open for non-FTA members, too. Those interested should ring the FTA's training department on 0892 883688.
