TO HELP develop the tourism, leisure and business activities of National Bus Company, Michel Wadsworth has been made managing director and Robin Jones business projects manager of the NBC National Products Division.

Until the end of February, Mr Wadsworth was managing director of the Bristol Omnibus Company. He has also worked with Hants and Dorset, United Automobile at Darlington, and Southern Vectis, and for five years was an executive member of the Isle of Wight Tourist Board.

His duties at Bristol have been taken by Trevor Smallwood, manager of Bristol Country, and Graeme Varley, manager of Bristol Citybus. Also at Bristol Omnibus, Douglas Ross, the company secretary, takes on the additional role of co-ordinating director.

Mr Jones, the new business projects manager for NBC's National Products Division, moves from Birmingham, where he was NBC's group services manager.

Other new appointments within NBC are Giles Fearnley as company secretary to the West Yorkshire Road Car Co, and John Winstanley, who takes the same post at Alder Valley. Mr Fearnley succeeds Alan Stephenson, who has gone to East Yorkshire Motor. Services as general manager; Mr Winstanley's appointment follows the early retirement owing to ill health of Clive Miller.

Their previous jobs were assistant company secretary with West Yorkshire in the case of Mr Fearnley, and financial controller and co-ordinator, West Riding group.
