Mr Stone, group distribution manager of BRS, is now also commercial manager of the high street delivery company acquired from Unilever by the National Freight Consortium in January this year. His additional appointment follows that of Richard Lovell 1CM, February 9) to sales and marketing director with SPD. He continues to perform the same job for BRS.
Four years ago Mr Stone joined BRS as group distribution development manager after 20 years in transport and distribution management with J. Lyons, and Procter arid Gamble.
Two other new appointments within SPD are Ian Nesbitt, as sales director, and Frank Hawes as development manager.
Mr Nesbitt was previously sales director (retail), Group.
Mr Hawes, previously manager. planning and development department, SPD, now manages a unit which is being amalgamated with the BRS consultancy unit to form a new organisation, the NFC Consulting Group. He will have special responsibility for major development projects. SPD
