THOMAS Nationwide Transport of Sydney has recorded record half-year net profit figures.
The half-year figure to December 31, 1978, was £6.33m ($A11.53m) compared with £3.57m ($A6.51m) for the comparable period in 1977. This represents a 77 per cent increase.
The company, which has transport interests in many parts of the world, says prospects for the full year are good, and expects the net profit to be "significantly in excess of that for 1977-78."
