Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Janus and even more so by The Hawk in Bird's Eye View in CM, February 16, referring to the recent drivers' strike.

I would hazard a very safe guess that a 5 per cent pay increase for these gentlemen would exceed the basic rate in total of these drivers, never mind the claimed '18 per cent or whatever.

Although a large number of drivers can earn £100 or £150 per week, with bonus and overtime, their basic wage is low.

These men, and all industrial workers, earn all the revenue, and the sooner management realises they are living on "parasitic" earnings, the happier the industrial scene will be.

Don't forget, however indispensable these management men feel they are, a large percentage of our industry is already run by —one-man bands,'" despite all efforts to the contrary: it would be only a short step to total owner drivership in the industry.
