MONDAY. marked the fifth anniversary..of ,the opening of Victoria Coach Station by London Coastal Coaches, Ltd. The building was thrown open to inspection and among the interesting features' was an exhibition of coach advertising 'matter.
In the station itself there was an imposing display ,of some 20 modern coaches. The makes on view included
A.E.C., Bristol, Dennis and Leyland. Among the body-builders to whom credit must be-attributed are the Bur
lingham, Brush, Eastern'Coacti Works, Harrington, M.C.W., Park Royal and Strachans concerns.
The vehicles ranged from a handsome 20-seater with armchairs and an electrically operated head to equally luxurious 32-seaters, In a year the station deals with•over 5,000,000 passengers and at peak periods some 60,000 people pass . through the station in a day.. .
