In your report (CM October 18) dealing with the Traffic Commissioners' Inquiry into aspects of this department's operations, you refer to statements made by a Miss Aranwen Evans.

Although the transcript of the hearing is not yet available, it is not correct to say that I refused to meet this lady. Miss Evans inferred that I should deal personally with routine complaints. The initiative for suggesting a meeting with her to discuss wider issues came from me and the assertion that I was "advised to see her" is totally without foundation.
