A DECLINE of 121/2 per cent in the number of lorry thefts in London during the first nine months of 1974 compared with the same period last year is reported by the vehicle security committee of the RHA. There were 143 occasions when the London vehicle observer corps were called out between January and September 1974 20 less than the corresponding figure of 163 for the previous year.
