LAWRENCE DAVID, the Peterborough body builder has developed better motors and a special cant-rail for its Roller-Sider curtain-sided body.
The two weatherproofed electric motors, which raise the curtains to give full length access at the touch of a button, are embodied within a sub assembly which forms the top rail of the bulkhead.
Externally, they are protected by the body's streamline fairing and allow an unobstructed internal stack height except where certain refrigeration equipmert specified.
The Roller-sider a( 100kg to the weight £1,000 to the price of a c ventional curtain-sided yell body design.
Development of a spt cant-rail extrusion has eli pared the use of sealant roof joints.
After several years ,in vice, sealants tend to bar and crack.
With the new extrusi any water lying on the roc drained away at the ol edge of the cant-rail.
