Granting fare increase applications to West Yorkshire Road Car Co. Ltd., of East Parade, Harrogate, last week, Mr. H. E. Robson, chairman, said although they could not accept the submission of objectors that the application be substantially reduced, the increases would not come into operation before Aug. 30. Increases are for Id. on some 4d. to 6d. fares; id. on all fares from 7d. to lid; one penny or 2d. on fares from is. to Is. 7d. and increases at the same rates up to fares of I ls.

Sitting in Leeds last week the Commissioners adjourned an application for fare increases by Keighley-West Yorkshire Services Ltd., of East Parade, Harrogate, aimed at bringing an operating income of E32,600, for the firm to consider revised figures yielding not more than £25,000.
