THE BAN on slow-moving vehicles in the offside lane of three-lane motorways is to continue indefinitely. Mrs. Barbara Castle told MPs this week that the ban, introduced on a trial basis in May last year, had been widely welcomed. The 70 m.p.h. limit would continue indefinitely on motorways and for the time being on other roads.
