CLOSED-CIRCUIT television scanning the full length of a new 540 ft. transit shed will speed turnround at South Six Dock, Manchester. The dock has been redeveloped at a cost of £400,000.

The shed will be used mainly for fastmoving palletized general cargo. Guided by conditions shown on the TV screen in the dispatch office, the superintendent and delivery clerks will use loudspeakers to talk-in lorries to delivery points.
