STOKE-based National Bus subsidiary Potteries Motor Traction has taken over the running of a taxi company, City Radio Cabs.
There will be no change of name and the taxis will continue to operate separately from the company's other activities.
PMT sees the acquisition as an extension of its current passenger business, only the size of vehicle being different.
Taxis join bus, coach, minibus and Flexibus operation the latter originally launched as Flexitaxis for rural areas with ex-London black cabs. Recently, larger vehicles have been introduced.
