1100, the 1110 high Top Van — announced today — is intended for operators with loads which are bulky rather than heavy and who need more space to make use of the 10 cwt payload.
Purpose-built bodywork behind the driving seat and above the waistline provides a ntximum interior height of 1,2 Omm (50 in) compared with the 914mm (36 in)of the standard version. This modification gives a total load space of 2.5 cu rn (88 cu ft). The height of the loading platform of this front-wheel-drive light van is 457 mm (18 in).
The Simca has a petrol engine of 1,188cc (72 cu in) capacity, which delivers OkW (54bhp). Torsion bar independent suspension is featured all round with heavyduty dampers at the rear which are adjustable for ride height.
