The SMMT has no idea where the next Commercial Motor Show will be held. Director John Beswick said this week: "We are over a barrel with Earls Court at present'. The plans for development of the Earls Court site had been altered and the owners were now talking about an enlarged and "rejuvenated" exhibition hall. While such work was going on, SMMT would need to find a new site for the Commercial Motor Show, and in 1976 this might be at Olympia or at the new Birmingham exhibition centre.
