RISES of up to 25 per cent are in the pipeline for workers at Leyland Vehicles Ltd's four Leyland and Chorley plants.
No agreement has yet been signed, but the agreement, intended to run for 12 months, follows two weeks of talks between union and management representatives. There is to be a five per cent across-the-board increase with a possibility of up to eight per cent more in a selffinancing productivity deal.
In order to increase productivity to the level demanded by LV, skilled men could receive a 12.5 per cent incentive bonus, semi-skilled men 9.5 per cent, and unskilled men 7.5 per cent.
