Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE largest triple-action press in Britain is now being erected by Vauxhall Motors, Ltd., at Luton. Weighing 318 tons and costing £54,000,. it was manufactured by Vickers-Armstrongs, Ltd., and will help to increase production of sheet-steel pressings for Bedford vans, cabs and Vauxhall car bodies.

A feature of the press is its " hyprodraw " action which, by speeding up the moving parts, enables it to produce more strokes per minute than an orthodox press.

The various partsof the press were moved from the Vickers works at Newcastle by road. The largest single component Was the crown, which weighs 91 tons and was carried by Pickferds on a Crane 904on trailer hauled by a Seammell Constructor and steered by a Scammell 20-ton tractor. The journey took six days.

The 90-ft.-long train entered the Vauxhall 'press shop -through a gap specially made in the-wall. Pick fords also lifted the crown into position, a job which took nearly a week. Hydraulic jacks and. 12-in.-thick baulks of timber were used.
