THE Prime Minister of Ceylon has decided to postpone appointing a committee to examine the working of bus companies and the question of higher fares. Meantime, he is seeking three experts to investigate company administration. Most bus concerns in Ceylon are converting themselves into public companies, as required by the Motor Traffic Act.
Colombo's new trolleybus service is making a net profit of Rs.200 a day. Fifteen more vehicles are to be put into ervice to replace a number of trams.
