A FTER experimenting for three years, B.I. Transport Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Joseph Rank, Ltd.-, Eastcheap, London, E.C.3, have devised a method of delivering flour from a bulk vehicle through only one pipe. Discharge had previously been done economically only through three pipes, but the new method can replace the three-pipe system without Modification to existing installations.

The new system, which employs machinery originally designed by Henry Simon, Ltd., for use in flour mills, is capable of delivering 131 tons at a rate of over 20, tons an hour through a 3-in. pipe to a height of approximately 100 ft. The plant is incorporated in a body built by the Duramin Engineering Co., Ltd., London, N.W.I0.

A demonstration of the new system is to be given by B.1. Transport Co., Ltd., on November 23.
