AN appeal to all drivers to avoid driving "under the influence of haste" was made by Mr. D. V. Turner, Chief Constable of Swansea, when he presented safety awards to employees of The South Wales Transport Co., Ltd. He believed that it was the cause of most accidents.
Mr. W. M. Dravers, general manager, said that of a total of 597 drivers, 470 had qualified for awards.
