Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

been given a new lease of life by the installation of a Commer TS3 oil engine. The vehicle is a six-wheeled open-top 57-seater which was renovated by Maidstone and District Motor Services, Ltd., in 1952 for Coronation festivities the following year in Hastings, the town where it was originally used by the Hastings Tramways Co.

Trolleybusei were abandoned in Hastings last year, but Maidstone and District were loath to scrap the vehicle because of its popularity with the public. It was not possible to convert it to petrol-electric operation, but the size and shape of the TS3 engine enabled a suitable conversion to be made.

Probably the only engine of its type to power a double-decker, the unit is mounted between the chassis members under the rear of the cab and the front of the lower saloon. The original rear differentials are retained.

Exterior illuminations have been altered to a 24v. circuit, and current for nearly 400 6w. coloured bulbs is provided by two 55-amp. dynamos.
