rcounteract the solidification of hard oils carried in their road tankers, Clyde Oil Extraction Ltd., King George V Dock, Glasgow, SW.!, have installed an experimental heating unit on one of their A.E.C. 3,125-gallon tankers.
The heat-transfer unit uses engine heat which is passed through an air duct by a fan. The duct, which is q in.
wide by in. deep, runs under the whole of the area where the solid material collects. So far it has not been possible to assess the true value of the scheme.
