• Renault has sold its first 8x4 Maxter in the UK with heavyduty steel rear suspension. The two-spring bogie adds 220kg to the kerbweight of the Maxter, compared with the standard Hendrickson-Norde rubber suspension. Advantages include better ground clearance and axle articulation. The first buyer is a demolition company operating in London.
E Renault has also made vertical exhausts standard on the Maxter. The vertical pipe is less vulnerable for site work and will not blow dust around like a conventional underslung exhaust.
