• I lauliers can now buy duplicate tax discs over the counter from DVL.Ns Vehicle Registration Offices.
This change removes the 10day wait when the DVLA would only supply replacement vehicle excise duty licences from its headquarters in Swansea. But the fee for replacing lost, stolen or destroyed VED discs has risen from £3.50 to £5.50. The DVLA says the hike in charges, the first since 1986, was inevitable.
Applications can also be made by post on Form V20, available from VROs and post offices.
