Named the Bison, it was intended for duties such as airfield defence should the Germans have invaded Britain. This armoured fighting vehicleAFV—was based on a number of commercial vehicle chassis.
The model pictured dates back to 1940 and was found lying with a broken back in a swamp at Acklington aerodrome. Based on a Leyland lorry it can now be seen at RAF Regiment Museum, Catterick. According to Raymond it is the last surviving model.
