MD FREE Land Rover now offers a head conversion for petrol Series 3 and early Defender models to allow the use of unleaded fuel. The conversion costs E380 (exVAT) from Land Rover dealers. The company says there are up to 40,000 vehicles in the UK which will be affected by the ban on leaded fuel from 1 January 2000.
MOM ROVE Mercedes has increased the warranty on its Sprinter models to three years' unlimited distance, with free servicing for three years or 60.000 miles. The offer applies to vehicles dealer registered in the UK from 1March to 31 December, but excludes fleet sales of more than 24 vehicles.
VAUXHALL CURE Vauxhall is to set up a £5m engineering centre for light commercials and 4x4s. It will employ about 75 engineers in the new Technology Park at the Millbrook proving ground near Bedford.
